Danellia Aitcheson started her career as an engineer but quickly realized her deep concern for sustainable use and management of natural resources for development, which led to her pursing a MSc in Sustainability. Danellia is the Fund Manager at National Conservation Trust Fund of Jamaica (NCTFJ). In her tenure she operationalized the NCTFJ and has been instrumental in the mobilizing over USD 1 million for protected area management across Jamaica. Danellia is committed to the organizational development of NCTFJ and the expansion of the Grant making in accordance with Conservation Trust Fund best practices. Her leadership has fostered collaboration between governmental agencies, development agencies, private sector and civil society organizations.
Danellia is a philanthropist and serves on several committees and Boards including the Forestry Department and the Jamaica Institute of Environmental Professionals. Her expertise in natural resource management, conservation finance, and her dedication to sustainable development, continues to drive the NCTFJ’s mission to protect Jamaica’s natural resources for future generations.
