About Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia, a small tropical island in the Eastern Caribbean with a population of approximately 180,355, is known for its iconic twin Pitons and the world’s only drive-in volcano. Covering about 70% of the island, lush tropical rainforests teem with indigenous plants and wildlife. Saint Lucia has a fascinating history, changing hands 14 times between the British and French, earning it the title of “The Helen of the West.”, and resulting in locals speaking both English and a charming French Creole. Despite its compact size, spanning only 238 square miles, Saint Lucia offers a wealth of unique resorts, historical landmarks, world-renowned events, delectable island cuisine, a rich cultural tapestry, and warm, welcoming people. Notably, it has been crowned the world’s leading honeymoon destination 14 times and has produced two Nobel Laureates.
