Pradeepa Bholanath

Pradeepa is an Environmental Economist who served as the Head of Planning and Development of the Guyana Forestry Commission (GFC) up to January 2020.  She is now the Senior Director of Climate and REDD+ at the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the National Focal Point of the UNFCC in Guyana.  She has knowledge and experience at the senior management level on areas of sustainable development, REDD+, climate policy and financing.  She also has experience in development of Guyana’s national Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) System for REDD+.  She is currently Guyana’s lead for engagement in the carbon markets and ART TREES forest carbon certification.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Protected Areas Commission in Guyana and support work in expanding Guyana’s Protected Areas System.
