As Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica (EFJ), Barrington leads the Secretariat, ensuring the EFJ fulfills its mission of conserving Jamaica’s natural resources and enhancing the well-being of the country’s children.
Barrington joined the EFJ in January 2008 as Finance Manager and has served as Acting Chief Executive Officer before being appointed to the CEO role in January 2018. With over 26 years of experience in the accounting field, he has held roles as an external auditor, chief accountant, strategic planner, and consultant.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Economics (Hons) and a Master of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies (Mona). Barrington is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and currently a Level 3 candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
