Aarav Chavda is the co-founder and CEO of INVERSA Leathers. INVERSA is an ecosystem restoration company that manages invasive species, such as the invasive lionfish, by creating private sector demand for invasive removal from the fashion industry. Today, INVERSA manages 3 invasive species across 12 geographies and is the largest diversified manager of invasives in the US. At INVERSA, Aarav leads partnerships, team, and strategy.
INVERSA is funded by the US’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, nonprofit Conservation International, and biodiversity venture firms Superorganism and Meliorate. In 2022, Aarav was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient. INVERSA has been covered by leading outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, The Guardian, Vogue, WWD, and PBS.
