Depart aboard a Catamaran from the Rodney Bay Marina sailing along the west coast of the island, past the fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries, the many coves and inlets along the way before arriving at the town of Soufriere, home of the majestic Pitons, a UN World Heritage site, which are also known as the Garden of St. Lucia. The towering twin peaks, Gros and Petit Pitons can be seen at every angle of Soufriere as you wind your way aboard minivans through the bustling town to the Diamond Botanical Gardens. This amazingly beautiful garden is replete with Tropical Flowers along a pathway that takes you onto the cascading Diamond Waterfalls. This waterfall is approximately 60ft high and is primarily a mixture of rainwater and volcanism fed by the Sulphur Springs. It is laced with minerals, sulphur, copper sulphate, magnesium, iron, manganese, and calcium, all contributing to the kaleidoscope of colors that adjourn the rock face behind the falls and continues to change colour depending on the mineral content at any given point but is always spectacular. Onwards to the Sulphur Springs in the Drive-in Volcano, a geothermal wonder where you are welcomed by an amazing series of steaming vents, varied hues of the mineral rocks, and the smell of sulphur. Return to the Catamaran for lunch onboard, sail up along the coast, and stop for swimming and snorkeling off the boat before returning to dock.
