UNESCO Creative City of Music, scenic and cultural town by Lake Llanquihue.

At the gateway to Patagonia, Frutillar is a charming town in southern Chile that blends heritage, history, nature, and culture. Located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, it offers stunning views of the Andes Mountains, with iconic volcanoes such as Osorno, Puntiagudo, Calbuco, and Tronador volcanoes.

Frutillar has been recognized as UNESCO Creative City of Music since 2017, and it stands out for its rich cultural offerings and unique architecture. Every summer, Frutillar hosts the 'Semanas Musicales de Frutillar' (Frutillar Musical Weeks), an event that draws national and international musical artists.

The Teatro del Lago is one of the southernmost cultural landmarks in the world.

HOW TO GET THERE

It is located in the Los Lagos region, approximately 30 minutes by car or bus from Puerto Varas, 45 minutes from El Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt, and 45 minutes from Osorno Airport.

Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park is the oldest in Chile. Established on August 17, 1926, it spans 253,000 hectares and forms part of the Temperate Rainforests of the Southern Andes Biosphere Reserve. The park lies in a region shaped by volcanic activity, tectonic forces, and glaciers—key elements in forming the majestic Andes mountain range.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Santiago, fly to Puerto Montt (1 hour and 45 minutes) and arrive in Puerto Varas in 30 minutes. To visit Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, take Route 225 to Ensenada (approximately 1 hour by car).
