With more than 30 years of experience in natural resources, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean, he is a member of committees and boards, such as the Amazon Basin Founders and the Strategic Steering Committee for the Andes Amazon Fund.
Environmental leader and President of the Global Environment Facility. Pioneer in Payment for Ecosystem Services, forest restoration and ocean conservation. As Minister of Costa Rica, he doubled forests, achieved renewable energy, and created outstanding national parks.
With 15 years in sustainable finance and impact investing, he joined JP Morgan in 2018. Previously, he led impact investing at Cambridge Associates, worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, the American Red Cross, and BlackRock. She has a degree in Government and Economics from the University of Virginia and serves on boards and committees.
He has a master's degree in science and 45 years of experience in conservation. Founder of Conservation International and first president of RedLAC for 4 years. He was General Director of the Mexican Fund for Nature Conservation and founder of MAR-Fund. He has been an advisor to 10 philanthropic organizations, mobilizing $450 million for conservation. Additionally, he is an artist and author/co-author of over 50 technical and broadcast publications.
